Forget that usual hymns that are played on funerals! Australians from the city of Adelaide are developing the habit of playing the most unusual songs during the funerals.
In the biggest cemetery and crematory of the city, the Centennial Park Cemetery, only two typigal songs are still among the top 10 most played, nowadays songs like Frank Sinatra’s Classic Hits ‘My Way’ and Louis Armstrong version of ‘Wonderful World’ lead the list.
Other Bands like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC are not on the rank, but they’re already gaining some ground in this area as more australians are leaving the tradiconal Christian Hymns.
“Some of the most unusual songs we heard around here ended up very well, because they represented the unique personality of the beloved person” said the chief executive of the Centennial Park, Bryan Elliot. Among the less conventional songs are: ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ from Monty Python’s comedy group, ‘Hit the Road Jack’, ‘Another one Bites the dust’, ‘I’ll Sleep when i’m dead’ and ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead’
The Dead person will be able to watch his funeral with that screen inside the coffin

It’s kinda evil to play ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead’ on someone’s funeral…
But i gotta admit that it’s interesting that groups like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin are gaining power on the funerals… Imagine how cool would it be to play Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven’ or AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ on someone’s funeral!

Qualquer mulher que tivesse Elizabeth no nome era permitida participar, houveram até participantes que tinham Elizabeth como último nome.
A rainha Elizabeth II foi convidada, porém recusou o convite de maneira delicada. Outrsa Elizabeths, como Elizabeth Taylor que não respondeu ao convite, foram convidadas.
O encontro foi feito principalmente para honrar Elizabeths famosas, por exemplo Elizabeth Armstrong, que desempenhou um papel importante defendendo a comunidade na guerra da Águia Negra, em 1832.
Armstrong, entre outras, foram relembradas por sua coragem e honradas na nomeação da cidade. A cidade planeja submeter esse evento ao livro dos recordes.
Apesar de não ter ido, a rainha Elizabeth é a representante mais famosa do nome Elizabeth.
